Adding LyricsTo add lyrics to your song (or change existing lyrics): Place the blinking cursor on the beat in your song where you want to start adding or changing lyrics. Open the Lyrics window via the Text > Lyrics menu command. In the Lyrics window, type one beat's worth of lyrics in the Lyric edit box and then click the Apply button (or press the Enter key). The lyric you typed appears in the main ChordSong window below the current beat. The cursor advances to the next beat and the Lyric edit box clears, ready for you to type the next lyric fragment. You can add multiple lines of lyrics (multiple verses) below a line of chords. The Verse up/down control in the Lyrics window lets you specify which "verse" of lyrics you are editing. If you want to add a second line of lyrics, just change the number in the Verse control from 1 to 2, and then start typing the second line of lyrics. Changing the Lyrics FontYou can change the lyrics font (for example, to make the lyrics text larger) via the Text > Lyrics Font menu command. The font you choose is applied to all lyrics in the song file you are currently working on. |
