About Us

Hi, I'm Conrad Albrecht, creator of Pop Music Theory. Here's this website's story:

I wrote pop songs as a teenager, then I wrote big-band jazz at Berklee College of Music, and then I had careers playing pop music, teaching music, and developing software and websites. Eventually I had the idea that with my experience in composition, pop music, teaching, and website development, and considering that "the competition" didn't look great to me, I could create perhaps the world's best online course for helping musicians, including beginners, write pop music. That course is what Pop Music Theory aims to be.
